Premenstrual syndrome ( PMS )

PMS refers to a set of disagreeable physiological and psychological responses associated with the normal hormonal fluctuations leading to menstruation. These responses may include bloating, breast tenderness, food cravings and a temporary gain in weight. Other symptoms of this disorder may include upset stomach, headaches, skin rashes, backache or aching muscles and joints, fatigue, hot flashes, sensitivity to noise, irritability, anxiety and insomnia. It is estimated that as many as 20% of pre-menopausal women suffer from PMS.

Although the specific causes of PMS are not certain, a drop in the level of the neurotransmitter serotonin, about 10 days prior to menstruation, may be a contributing cause to mood swings, feelings of depression and changes in appetite and sleep patterns. Also, a woman's hormonal changes may reduce her levels of endorphins, the body's natural pain relievers. This can lead to a heightened sensitivity to pain and irritations such as noises, smells or bright lights.

Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology: Instant Relief in a Natural way.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who brought the Transcendental Meditation® technique to the world 42 years ago, has revived and systematized Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology. The word "Vedic" means pertaining to Veda, the field of pure knowledge or total knowledge of Natural law.

For thousands of years, Veda and the Vedic Literature have been held to be the expression of the Total Knowledge of Natural Law. According to tradition, the Vedic sounds contained in Veda are the fundamental vibrations which structure the material universe, including the human body. Through a tender impulse of Vedic vibration, pain can be transformed into a feeling of pleasantness and abnormality can be transformed into normal physiological functioning.
